Valentine's Day Ball (Winter Ball), Red Bluff, February 5, 2011 - Enjoy the more civilized side of Civil War Reenacting where every loyal Union man, Confederate and Civilian will enjoy a night of dinner and dancing. with a family dance featuring lively music, festive refreshments and company of dear friends. Our 'formal' Winter Ball starts off our season at the VFW Hall, located at the corner of Oak Street and Jackson Street in Red Bluff. The event will star-t at 6 p.m. and continue until 10 p.m. For further info, contact Janice Neikirk.
RACW Tactical, Shasta College, March 18 - 20 (if rained out then March 25 - 27) - The start of the year Club-wide tactical will be held at Shasta College, Redding to practice safety, drill and generally prepare for the new season. For further info, contact Pappy or Donna Walton.
Civil War Days,
Dog Island Park, Red Bluff, April 30 - May 1
- This
event for the RACW is set in a scenic park on the banks
of the Sacramento River. Saturday and Sunday
feature battles and living history.
A fantastic location in downtown Red Bluff but
hidden from all modern intrusions. There will be a school day on Friday
educating groups of school children about the Civil War.
Dog Island Park is located on

largest events in Northern California, with all three major clubs, the
RACW,
NCWA and
ACWA participating. Hosted by the California Historical Artillery
Association (CHAS),
this event is located near the
The Great Silver Shipment Train
Battle, Virginia City, NV, Labor Day weekend -
Dubbed "The Battle That Never Was", this event
is put on by our reenacting partners, the Comstock Civil War Reenactors (CCWR),
in Virginia City, NV. The battles at this event will feature the former
McCloud railroad train. Virginia City is a tourist-oriented town, with
lots of shops catering to the Old West and Civil War era-minded person.
